The Kingdom of Morocco has reiterated its firm position and support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, expressing its absolute solidarity against the attacks carried out by the Houthi group. This position was conveyed during a meeting of the UN Security Council, held under the “Arria-formula,” an informal mechanism that allows Council members to exchange views on issues of international peace and security.

Morocco’s position on the Houthi attacks

During the UN meeting, Rabat emphasized its strong condemnation of these attacks, describing them as “cowardly acts” that threaten the stability and security of Saudi Arabia. This diplomatic move by Morocco reflects the strength of the strategic relations between Rabat and Riyadh and confirms Morocco’s constant commitment to supporting the sovereignty and stability of Arab countries.

It is noteworthy that Morocco has consistently expressed its principled positions in international forums regarding crises affecting the security of Gulf countries, emphasizing the rejection of all forms of military escalation targeting civilians and vital infrastructure.
