Moroccan National Defense Administration warns of critical security vulnerability in Docker Engine

New security notice issued by the General Directorate for Information Systems in Morocco

As part of its ongoing monitoring of digital security developments and the protection of sensitive infrastructure, the General Directorate for Security Systems, under the National Defense Administration, issued a security bulletin on October 08, 2026 (reference number 69360810/26), containing a technical alert regarding a security vulnerability detected in the popular virtual container engine, “Docker Engine”.

According to the data contained in the official bulletin, the vulnerability registered under the external identifier CVE-2026-92543 directly affects the digital certificate validation mechanism in “Docker Engine” during connections to digital registries. The report warns that exploiting this vulnerability could allow unauthorized parties to bypass existing protection measures, in addition to the potential for intercepting digital communications and compromising the integrity and reliability of the software images used within the operating environment.

The list of affected systems and versions includes all Docker Engine versions prior to 29.8.2. In this context, the relevant authorities have called for consulting the official security bulletin issued by the software vendor on October 1, 2026, to review the details of the patches and proposed technical solutions.
