Details of the appearance of five suspects before the Tangier Court of Appeal in the ballot paper case

The city of Tangier is witnessing rapid developments on both judicial and security fronts, following the seizure of election papers at the polling station of Al-Qods Primary School in the Casabarata district, an incident dating back to September 23rd.
According to available information, five individuals were presented today, Saturday, before the General Prosecutor at the Tangier Court of Appeal, following the completion of preliminary investigations conducted by the competent security services under the supervision of the Public Prosecution.
The same data indicates that four of the detainees are currently in pre-trial detention, while the fifth person is being prosecuted while at liberty, pending the Public Prosecution’s decision regarding the legal status of each individual in light of the investigation’s progress.
In the same context, a central inspection committee from the Ministry of the Interior has arrived in Tangier to launch a comprehensive administrative investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident.
This administrative investigation aims to examine the nature of the seized papers at the Al-Qods school center, identify their true source, determine the path they took until reaching the polling station, and verify the authenticity of the stamp on the back of those papers to confirm if it is genuine or forged.
The file remains open to potential new developments, as judicial and administrative investigations continue, pending the results of technical expert reports and decisions to be taken by the Public Prosecution and other competent authorities in the coming days.
