Bank Al-Maghrib reported that the national currency (the dirham) recorded a relative decline against major foreign currencies during the period between August and September 2026. These data are part of the latest monthly bulletin issued by the central bank, which tracks the country’s economic, monetary, and financial situation.
Key decline rates in the foreign exchange market
In its report, the central bank clarified that the Moroccan dirham declined by 1.4 percent against the Euro. Similarly, the national currency recorded a decrease of 2 percent against the US Dollar during the same mentioned period.

In the same context, the data in the monthly bulletin indicated that the Euro also experienced a slight decline of 0.5 percent against the US Dollar in the relevant markets, reflecting the ongoing movements in major currency exchange rates during the recent period.
