British company reveals presence of copper, silver, and gold at the Agadir Melloul project

Strong indicators for copper, silver, and gold at the Agadir Melloul project

The British company Critical Mineral Resources is moving toward a significant new milestone in its mining exploration project in Morocco, following positive drilling results that show high indicators for copper, silver, and gold at the Agadir Melloul project. This comes as the company prepares to release its first independent mineral resource estimate during the final quarter of this year.

Drilling results cover a limited area pending independent assessment

In its semi-annual report, the British company explained that drilling work at the Agadir Melloul project has covered less than 5 percent of the project’s total area, indicating that current data is limited to a small fraction of the licensed land. Exploration has recorded strong copper indicators in near-surface areas, including sections with significant copper concentrations alongside silver and gold.

Discovery of a new silver-rich structure in the northern zone

The most notable development during recent drilling occurred in the northern part of the project, where the company announced the detection of a new structure rich in silver linked to a geological fault. Drilling in several holes revealed extremely high levels of silver, copper, and gold. The company believes these results suggest the presence of a high-concentration silver zone separate from the primary copper mineralization, pending further drilling to determine the extent and size of this structure precisely.

Geographical and financial data for the Agadir Melloul project

The Agadir Melloul project spans approximately 65 square kilometers in the Western Anti-Atlas region, about 250 kilometers southwest of Marrakech. During the first quarter of 2026, the company secured a mining license and an environmental permit, and began preparations for developing a processing plant. Financially, the company announced it raised about 3.1 million British pounds during the first half of the year, increasing its net assets and cash position, while emphasizing that these results remain within the exploration and evaluation stages ahead of future feasibility studies.
