The Deroua region, located in the Berrechid province, witnessed a wide-scale security sweep operation, following intensive field movements that came after the arrest of one of the most prominent drug barons in the area.
The regional commander of the Royal Gendarmerie in Settat led this campaign directly on the ground, accompanied by the commander of the Royal Gendarmerie company in Berrechid and the head of the territorial center of the Royal Gendarmerie in Deroua, reflecting a high level of security mobilization.
Field operations included subjecting road users to legal status checks, in addition to profiling a large number of individuals, including motorcycle and taxi drivers within Deroua and its surroundings.
These measures resulted in the seizure of several non-compliant motorcycles and the arrest of wanted individuals, as part of efforts to enhance security and curb violations related to public safety.
