Casablanca: Integrated health center to serve over 60,000 residents in Dar Bouazza

Developing primary healthcare in the Casablanca-Settat region

In a move aimed at enhancing health offerings and bringing medical services closer to the population of the Nouaceur province, the first-level urban health center in Dar Bouazza was officially launched on Tuesday in Casablanca. This inauguration is part of an ambitious national program to upgrade primary healthcare institutions.

Modern facilities and advanced equipment

The inauguration was overseen by the Director General of the Territorial Health Group for the Casablanca-Settat region, in the presence of prominent sector officials. The center underwent a comprehensive rehabilitation, including infrastructure modernization and the installation of the latest medical and technical equipment. This will directly facilitate citizens’ access to healthcare services, organize medical consultations, and ensure a seamless treatment journey for patients.

Comprehensive services covering population needs

This health facility aims to cover the needs of over 60,000 residents by offering a complete package of community-based services. These include general medical consultations, as well as special programs for maternal and child health, such as pregnancy monitoring, family planning, vaccination, and nutrition. The center also places great importance on the early detection of breast and cervical cancer, alongside epidemiological surveillance and the management of infectious diseases like tuberculosis.

Managing chronic diseases and school health

In addition to its preventive duties, the center provides specialized pathways for managing chronic diseases, including asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure, and mental health disorders. The center also contributes to promoting health awareness through educational programs and provides school and university health services, as part of a vision aimed at building an integrated health system that centers on the citizen’s needs and ensures continuity of care.
