Man in his 40s arrested in Rabat for stabbing two foreigners

In a precise security operation led by the national security services in close coordination with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST), police elements in the Yacoub El Mansour district of Rabat successfully apprehended a 43-year-old man on Friday evening, suspected of involvement in a case of assault resulting in bodily harm using a bladed weapon.
Details of the attack and background
The incident took place last Thursday, when the suspect, who has a prior criminal record, attacked two foreign nationals with a knife. The incident occurred following a dispute related to neighborly relations, which prompted the security services to immediately launch an intensive field investigation.
Technical and field investigations carried out by the police allowed for the accurate identification of the suspect and the tracking of his movements, leading to his containment and arrest in record time on Friday evening—a development welcomed by the victims and the local community.
Ongoing judicial investigation
The suspect has been placed in police custody pending the judicial investigation being conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office. These investigations aim to uncover all circumstances and facts of the case, as well as to determine the true motives behind these criminal acts committed against foreign citizens in the Yacoub El Mansour sector.
