With Evidence and Facts: Debunking Hicham Gerando’s Fallacies Against Moroccan National Institutions

The malicious campaigns through which the individual named Hicham Gerando targets Moroccan national institutions continue to crumble in the face of strong data and field facts. Recent data reveals the extent of confusion and ignorance regarding the organizational structure of state apparatuses, through the promotion of blatant fallacies aimed at inciting strife and questioning the integrity of sovereign agencies.

Refuting Allegations Targeting the National Security Apparatus

In a new attempt to muddy the waters and narrate false stories against the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), the individual in question rushed to promote a clip claiming the involvement of a security element in throwing a rock toward a migrant. However, field facts refuted these claims entirely, as it turned out that the individual belonged to the ranks of the Auxiliary Forces and not the police force.

This grave error reflects a total ignorance of the organizational structures and competencies of security institutions in Morocco, confirming that the primary purpose of these posts is to directly harm the national security apparatus and execute provocative agendas that lack the slightest degree of credibility.

Deception in Judicial Recognition and Attempts to Undermine Judicial Independence

The tools of disinformation did not stop at field events but extended to target the independence of the judiciary and its personnel. Gerando claimed in an inflammatory post that the honoring of a deputy public prosecutor and his receipt of an award was a “reward for services rendered to security and intelligence agencies,” in a transparent attempt to question the integrity of the Moroccan judiciary.

However, a preliminary reading of the symbols and badges featured in the recognition reveals the extent of the deception; the honorary shield clearly bears the official logo of the General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration (DGAPR) and has no connection to the DGSN or the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST).

This recognition comes within the context of administrative and institutional cooperation legally established between the judiciary and the prison administration, in appreciation of efforts made in coordinating the enforcement of sentences and managing penal institutions. These allegations confirm the distortion of clear facts to turn an official institutional activity into imaginary scenarios of suspicious deals.

Resilience of National Institutions Against Digital Blackmail Attempts

This series of consecutive failures demonstrates that the inflammatory discourse relies on falsifying images and exploiting some followers’ lack of knowledge regarding national symbols to manufacture fabricated content that attacks sovereign institutions known for their competence. The state of law and its judicial and security institutions remains resilient against rumors and digital blackmail, armed with transparency and responsible field action.
