In Agadir Meeting, Fouzi Lekjaa Settles Debate on Joining PAM and Calls for Development

During a communication meeting held in Agadir, Fouzi Lekjaa emphasized that Morocco is going through a pivotal stage that requires full focus on discussing practical projects and ideas capable of meeting developmental challenges, away from exhausting debates that do not serve the national interest at this time.

A Royal Vision for Transitioning Toward Developmental Integration and Emerging Nations

Lekjaa explained that current public and political discourse must reflect the contents of the recent Royal Speech, which provided a precise and objective diagnosis of decades of work and development, highlighting the positive impact of strategic policies pursued through the combined efforts of all institutions and social actors.

The speaker affirmed that the Royal directives have drawn a decisive roadmap for the country’s future, through preparation for “strenuous and arduous work” aimed at permanently placing the Kingdom among the ranks of emerging nations. This objective requires meeting strict economic, financial, and social conditions that form the core of political work in the coming phase.

The Truth About Joining PAM and Refuting the Search for Positions

Regarding the controversy surrounding his recent political move, Lekjaa stated that joining the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) comes within the framework of exercising a constitutional right guaranteed to all citizens as a simple individual of this nation. He categorically denied that this step was motivated by a search for a political portfolio or a new administrative post.

Lekjaa recalled the national responsibilities he has been entrusted with through successive Royal appointments, noting that he finds no embarrassment in working or being present in the “lowest organizational position within the party,” as the ultimate goal is participatory contribution rather than seeking leadership positions.

Rebuilding Trust Through Honesty and Youth Engagement

Lekjaa concluded his speech by stressing the importance of adopting a methodology of sincerity, clarity, and “serious work” (Al-Ma’qoul) when addressing citizens. He considered that restoring public trust in political action is fundamentally based on transparency and direct communication.

He also called for making the youth and teenagers essential partners and actors in implementing the Kingdom’s future vision, through genuine integration mechanisms that rebuild bridges of trust between this broad segment of society and national institutions.
