Laâyoune commemorates the anniversary of King Hassan II’s passing with a Royal Gift to the Zawiya of Cheikh Ma El Ainine

In an atmosphere marked by serenity and reverence, the city of Laâyoune witnessed, on Saturday evening, the ceremony of presenting a Royal Gift to the descendants of the Zawiya of Cheikh Mohamed Laghdaf ben Cheikh Ma El Ainine. This noble Royal initiative comes within the framework of commemorating the 28th anniversary of the passing of the late King Hassan II, may God bless his soul, an occasion during which the Kingdom reaffirms its bonds of allegiance and loyalty to spiritual and national values.
Solemn religious ceremony attended by prominent figures
A high-level religious ceremony was held at the Zawiya’s headquarters, marked by the presence of the Wali of the Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra region and Governor of Laâyoune province, Abdeslam Bekrate, alongside the regional delegate for Islamic Affairs, presidents of the Ulema councils, elected officials, notables and tribal leaders of the Sahara, as well as Zawiya followers and descendants of Cheikh Ma El Ainine.
An atmosphere of spirituality and loyalty
The event featured rich proceedings, beginning with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by prophetic praises (Madih) chanted by those present in an atmosphere of deep devotion, recalling the virtues of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and invoking the memory of the late King Hassan II.
Prayers for the Commander of the Faithful
The ceremony concluded with prayers to the Almighty to protect the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to grant him the joy of seeing the Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, and to support him with his brother, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, and the entire Royal Family. The attendees also prayed to God to bestow His infinite mercy upon the late Sovereigns Mohammed V and Hassan II, and grant them a place in His vast paradise.
