New blood in National Security: Hammouchi announces key appointments across several cities

Injecting new blood and fostering responsibility

As part of its strategy to open up to young talent and provide opportunities for assuming security management responsibilities, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) announced on Friday, August 14, a package of new appointments covering sensitive positions in its central and decentralized services across the Kingdom, including cities like Laâyoune, Ouarzazate, Oujda, and Zagora.

New positions in public security and judicial police

This reshuffle and new set of appointments, endorsed by the Director General of National Security, Abdellatif Hammouchi, involves 10 new police leadership positions distributed among public security, general intelligence, and judicial police services.

In the city of Oujda, the appointments included placing trust in two new police district heads. In Ouarzazate, an acting head of the regional judicial police service was appointed, while Laâyoune saw the appointment of a new head for the judicial police brigade in the second regional security zone.

Strategic appointments in Zagora and central services

This dynamic was not limited to major cities but also reached decentralized services in Zagora, where a new head for the airport police station, a head of the urban force, and an acting head of the judicial police brigade were appointed. At the central level, the general intelligence directorate has placed new staff at the helm of the demographic data management division to enhance administrative services.

Increasing efficiency and strengthening public safety

These appointments are part of the ongoing dynamic of the DGSN, which primarily aims to increase the efficiency and performance of police human resources. This strategy intends to entrust field management to young, highly qualified talent capable of executing operational plans effectively, thereby contributing to the reinforcement of the sense of security among citizens.
