RNI achieves judicial victory in removing Miloud Chelikh from Benmansour commune presidency

Major court ruling orders the removal of Miloud Chelikh from office
In a significant political and legal development, the Administrative Court of Rabat has ordered the removal of Miloud Chelikh from his membership in the Benmansour communal council in the Kenitra province. This judicial decision puts an end to his tenure at the head of the council, resulting in all necessary legal consequences, most notably the loss of the presidency of the commune, which he has managed for years.
Background of the lawsuit and the RNI party
According to available information, this ruling came in response to a lawsuit filed by the Rassemblement National des Indépendants (RNI) party. It is noteworthy that Miloud Chelikh had been chairing the Benmansour communal council since 2021 under the same party’s banner, before running in the 2023 legislative elections, which led to legal and political developments that concluded with the recent administrative ruling ordering his dismissal from both his membership and presidency.
