New Strategic Investment by Vantage Aims to Develop a Unified Electronic Payment Platform

Strengthening Presence in the Electronic Payments Market

“Vantage Payment Systems” is moving to strengthen its presence in the electronic payments sector in Morocco, following the entry of the “FIVE” fund, part of the “AfricInvest” group, into the capital of “Equity Invest”. According to company data, this step aims to support a new growth phase and expand the range of payment solutions for merchants.

Corporate Restructuring and Accelerating Expansion

The company announced that “Equity Invest”, owned by Ali Bettahi, now holds the entire capital of “VPS” following the acquisition of the former shareholders’ stakes. This action paves the way for a new phase involving company restructuring and accelerating its expansion within the national market.

New Strategy for Developing Payment Solutions

The new strategy is focused on developing a unified platform that integrates online payment operations, in-store and point-of-sale payments, as well as providing comprehensive mobile payment solutions.

The institution also intends to accelerate the deployment of electronic payment terminals “TPE”, in parallel with the continued development of e-commerce services and “SoftPOS” solutions, which enable mobile devices to be turned into certified tools for accepting payments.

Market Data and Technological Infrastructure

Company data indicates that transactions processed through electronic payment terminals accounted for about 90 percent of the total electronic payment market for merchants in 2025, whereas online payments attracted only about 10 percent.

The new investment will be directed toward developing technological infrastructure, accelerating the innovation of new products and solutions, and strengthening commercial and marketing capabilities.

Betting on Financial Inclusion and Digitization

The management of “VPS” is counting on the support of the “FIVE” fund, known for its focus on financial inclusion and digital services across Africa, to accelerate the digitization of payment processes and broaden the scope of electronic payment acceptance within the Moroccan market.
