As part of the ongoing dynamic to renew positions of responsibility within the Royal Gendarmerie, enhance security efficiency, and improve field performance across various units, Colonel Adnane El Haouassi has assumed his new duties as commander of the Regional Command of the Royal Gendarmerie in Agadir.
This appointment follows his transfer from the Higher Command of the Royal Gendarmerie in Rabat, where he succeeds Colonel Major Abdelali Dahmani, who held the position for a significant period in managing the region’s security affairs.
New missions for Colonel Major Abdelali Dahmani in Casablanca
In a related context, the recent rotation resulted in the appointment of Colonel Major Abdelali Dahmani as commander of the Royal School for Royal Gendarmerie Officers in Casablanca, following his tenure overseeing the Agadir regional command.
These strategic moves reflect the Higher Command’s keenness to leverage expertise and skills by directing them toward sensitive training and field positions to increase the effectiveness of the security apparatus.
Major security challenges in the Souss-Massa region
The new regional commander will be directly responsible for supervising a wide and sensitive territory in the Souss-Massa region. This comes amidst a variety of security, preventive, and judicial files related to maintaining public order, combating crime in all its forms, and strengthening the sense of security among citizens in the region.
