The National Council of the Justice and Development Party (PJD) has finalized its decision regarding the upcoming political cycle. During an extraordinary session on Saturday afternoon, council members unanimously approved the decision not to join the government and to officially move to the opposition ranks.

In a related context, Abdelilah Benkirane, the Secretary-General of the party, stated that the party will work towards building an opposition he described as “moderate, reasonable, and strong.” He added that the success achieved in these elections holds significant importance, surpassing even the 2016 elections, noting that the coming phase requires responsible engagement from party members within their role as a parliamentary and political opposition.
