Capacity crisis in El Jadida schools tops the priorities of the Parents’ Federation

Challenges of the new school year in El Jadida province
In the context of preparations for the current school year, the National Federation of Parents’ Associations in Morocco held an important coordination meeting with the Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of National Education in El Jadida. This meeting was dedicated to highlighting the main issues hindering the smooth start of the school year, with a particular focus on the pressure on school infrastructure.
Demands to strengthen educational supply and overcome constraints
During the meeting, the Federation’s representatives emphasized the need to increase the capacity of educational institutions in the province, in light of demographic growth and the rising demand for school seats. The attendees called for urgent intervention to address various technical and logistical constraints that may affect the quality of learning, while ensuring a suitable and stimulating educational environment for both students and teaching staff.
Commitment to participatory work
This meeting was an opportunity to bridge perspectives between the Federation and the administration, stressing the importance of participatory work to overcome obstacles. The Federation hopes that the Provincial Directorate will respond to its demands by taking concrete measures to alleviate the pressure on institutions, especially in areas experiencing increasing overcrowding, thereby ensuring equal opportunities for all learners within the province.
