Municipal councilor sentenced to 3.5 years in prison for corruption in Marrakech

New judicial ruling at the Marrakech Court of Appeal
The Criminal Chamber of First Instance in charge of financial crimes at the Marrakech Court of Appeal issued a verdict on Friday evening, sentencing a municipal councilor belonging to the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM).
The decision followed deliberations that considered all facts and circumstances surrounding the case. The individual was sentenced to three and a half years of effective imprisonment, along with a fine of 150,000 dirhams.

In addition to the prison sentence and the fine, the court ordered the convicted individual to bear the court costs and issued a judicial order for the return of all seized items to their rightful owners.
