Intensive preparations in the streets of Rabat ahead of the opening of the legislative year in the presence of King Mohammed VI

A new national look adorns the streets of the Moroccan capital
The streets of the capital, Rabat, have been dressed in a distinctive national attire, with national flags raised along the main roads as part of the ongoing preparations to welcome King Mohammed VI.
These intensive preparations coincide with the expected constitutional date for the opening of the first session of the first legislative year of the twelfth legislature, which is usually accompanied by extensive organizational and logistical measures.
Extensive preparations for the constitutional event
National flags were seen raised in large numbers along vital thoroughfares, starting from the Mechouar Saïd area to the vicinity of the Parliament building, in a scene that reflects the preparation for this prominent political and constitutional milestone in the country.
This festive appearance embodies the atmosphere that usually accompanies the opening of the legislative year, as streets and main squares are decorated to welcome the Moroccan monarch, who traditionally presides over the opening session of Parliament and delivers his royal address to the members of both chambers.
