Badr Bousif, Governor of Taourirt Province, chairs the Provincial Committee of the National Initiative for Human Development

Mr. Badr Bousif, Governor of Taourirt Province and President of the Provincial Committee for Human Development, chaired an important meeting of the committee, attended by the heads of local development committees, the heads of decentralized government services, and representatives of civil society organizations.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Governor welcomed the attendees and recalled the financial indicators and projects programmed for 2026, which were previously presented during the meeting held on March 16, 2026. He explained that this balance includes a total of 111 projects and operations, with a total budget estimated at 35.09 million dirhams, to which the National Initiative for Human Development contributed 34.37 million dirhams.
Additional Action Plan and Social Program Support
During the meeting, the Governor emphasized that the additional action plan for 2026 would focus on key projects within the second program related to supporting people in vulnerable situations, and the fourth program related to advancing human development for future generations.
These programs will receive significant financial allocations to support the operation and management of reception centers established under the Initiative, in addition to supporting efforts to improve maternal and child health, encourage schooling, and combat school dropout rates. The plan also includes the renovation of the Debdou Maternity House, which plays a vital role in providing reception, housing, and catering for expectant mothers from the Debdou circle.
Unanimous Approval of the Agenda
The meeting concluded with the review and unanimous approval by the members of the Provincial Committee of all items on the agenda.
This approval included the additional action plan for the 2026 programs, with 12 additional projects and operations totaling 1.5 million dirhams, reflecting the engagement of various local actors in advancing human development in the region.
