The Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol and Chancery announced in a statement that His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, will preside tomorrow, Friday, 27 Rabii Al-Thani 1448 AH, corresponding to October 9, 2026, over the opening of the first session of the first legislative year of the twelfth legislature at the Parliament headquarters.

Anticipated Royal Address to both Houses of Parliament

On this important occasion, His Majesty the King will deliver an address to the members of both Houses of Parliament—the House of Representatives and the House of Councilors—which will serve as a roadmap for the Kingdom’s upcoming legislative and institutional phase.

According to the statement by the Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol and Chancery, the proceedings of the opening of this legislative session and the Royal address will be broadcast live on radio and television starting at 3:45 PM tomorrow, Friday.
