Details on the death of a Moroccan and an Algerian woman in an air attack on Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia

A Moroccan citizen residing in Saudi Arabia, along with an Algerian citizen, have lost their lives following an air attack that targeted Abha International Airport, according to official data released by the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation.
Details of the attack on Abha International Airport
The General Authority of Civil Aviation clarified that the assault targeting Abha International Airport on Tuesday, October 6, caused two deaths (a Moroccan and an Algerian woman), in addition to 28 injuries among citizens and residents, including two foreigners of Bangladeshi and Philippine nationalities.
The same source added that the injuries ranged from light to moderate, and all injured individuals were immediately transported to nearby hospitals to receive necessary treatment and medical care.
Second attack targets King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh
In a related context, King Khalid International Airport in the capital, Riyadh, was hit by another attack that resulted in the death of a resident of Sudanese nationality, in addition to 8 injuries, including five Saudi citizens, two Egyptians, and a Pakistani resident.
Emergency response and damage assessment
The authority confirmed that emergency teams and relevant agencies intervened directly and immediately following the attacks. In the same framework, the concerned authorities initiated a process to assess material damage and took all necessary measures to ensure the safety of travelers and staff, and to secure vital airport facilities.
