Suspects arrested in flagrante in Bernoussi

Judicial police in the Bernoussi district of Casablanca recently arrested three individuals suspected of involvement in a series of violent robberies and acts of intimidation against passersby, using a rented vehicle. This security operation followed precise investigations initiated by authorities after recurring complaints regarding robberies and assaults in public spaces.

Searches conducted in this case led to the seizure of bladed weapons, an iron bar, and a quantity of drugs, reinforcing the hypothesis of their involvement in multiple criminal activities related to the possession of contraband and the intimidation of citizens.

Rented vehicle used for movements and attacks

Preliminary data indicates that members of the gang used vehicles from rental agencies for their daily movements. This criminal method was employed to facilitate the rapid execution of robberies and assaults, allowing them to flee crime scenes quickly to avoid security surveillance.

National search warrant since 2019 for one of the detainees

In a notable development, automatic verification of one of the suspects revealed a major surprise: he had been the subject of a national search warrant since 2019. The warrant relates to his suspected involvement in a serious criminal case involving attempted premeditated murder and grievous bodily harm leading to permanent disability.

According to available information, the suspect previously led a faction of “Ultras” belonging to a Casablanca football team; the search warrant is linked to a previous attack on a fan of a rival team.

Details of the previous attack that led to the victim’s hand amputation

The details of the old incident involve the suspect’s alleged participation, alongside others, in assaulting a victim using bladed weapons. The attack resulted in severe injuries, ultimately leading to the amputation of the victim’s hand, in addition to theft during the same incident.

While security forces managed to arrest several alleged accomplices at that time, the current suspect had remained in hiding until his arrest in this new case.
