Strong Weather Fluctuations Hit Morocco with Notable Temperature Rises Expected

Weather details for Friday according to the General Directorate of Meteorology
The General Directorate of Meteorology predicted in its daily weather bulletin for Friday that the weather will remain relatively hot in the inland regions of Gharb, the Tadla plains, and Rhamna. It will also be relatively hot to locally hot in the interior of the Souss region and in the heart of the Kingdom’s Saharan provinces, reflecting the usual climate contrast in Morocco.
Foggy patches and thundershowers expected in the highlands
The Directorate explained that during the night and morning, low clouds accompanied by fog patches or very light rain will be observed over the western Mediterranean coast, the central coasts, and the north-west of the Kingdom’s Saharan provinces.
In the same context, the source expects thundershowers over the High and Middle Atlas mountains and their adjacent western slopes, in addition to scattered raindrops and occasional thunder in the Rif region and the eastern area.
Moderate to strong winds and expected temperatures
Regarding wind, the General Directorate of Meteorology expects moderate to fairly strong wind gusts in the Tangier region and the Saharan provinces, with local dust storms.
As for the minimum temperatures, they will range between 07 and 12 degrees in the Atlas and Rif mountains, between 24 and 29 degrees in the Saharan provinces and the interior of Souss, while they will range between 19 and 32 degrees in the rest of the Kingdom’s regions. Daytime temperatures will see a notable increase in the Souss region, the Saharan provinces, the Gharb region, and the Chaouia region, while they will see a relative decrease in the rest of the country.
State of the sea
Regarding the state of the sea, it will be calm to slightly rough on the Mediterranean coast, slightly rough to rough in the Strait area, while it will be rough to very rough in the area between Mehdia and Tarfaya, and slightly rough to rough on the rest of the Moroccan coasts.
