Casablanca security services arrest eight people for reckless driving and assaulting police patrols

Police officers in the Hay Hassani security district of Casablanca arrested eight individuals on Monday evening, September 28, including three minors aged between 16 and 20. According to available data, the arrests were made due to their suspected involvement in cases related to insulting public officials, throwing stones at them, and driving in a manner that endangered the lives of road users and the safety of citizens.
Violent resistance and reckless driving
Field details indicate that National Security patrols caught a group of people red-handed performing dangerous motorcycle stunts on public roads, posing a direct threat to public safety. The individuals involved did not comply with legal instructions and showed violent resistance by throwing stones at police patrols in an attempt to obstruct the security intervention.
Judicial investigations and seizure of motorcycles
This security intervention resulted in the surrounding and arrest of eight of the main suspects, in addition to the seizure of five motorcycles used to facilitate these criminal acts. The detainees have been placed under judicial investigation overseen by the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office to reveal the circumstances of the case, while security services continue their intensive investigations to arrest the remaining individuals involved in these acts.
