National security forces in Beni Ansar arrest a 49-year-old man wanted nationwide for serious crimes

Officers from the local judicial police brigade at the Beni Ansar police station, under the Nador province, have successfully arrested a 49-year-old man as part of ongoing security operations to apprehend individuals wanted at the national level and strengthen the sense of public security.

The suspect was spotted and detained in a neighborhood in the city of Beni Ansar, after automated verification in the security database revealed that there was a national search warrant issued against him by the police department of Tangier.

According to preliminary data, the warrant against the suspect is linked to his suspected involvement in a case of international smuggling of stolen vehicles—criminal activities that have been the subject of intensive investigations by the competent security services in Tangier.

The detainee has been placed in custody under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to facilitate a judicial investigation, aimed at uncovering all circumstances surrounding the case and determining the nature of the criminal acts attributed to him.

The judicial police will continue their investigations to verify potential extensions of these criminal activities and reveal the involvement of any other persons connected to the facts of this case.
