Members of the Royal Gendarmerie successfully arrested an individual on Friday, September 25, 2026, suspected of involvement in drug trafficking activities in the Al-Wafaa neighborhood of the Deroua region, under the Berrechid province.
The security operation was conducted under the supervision of the commander of the Royal Gendarmerie company in Berrechid, in coordination with personnel from the territorial center of Deroua, where the suspect was apprehended while inside an SUV.
Available data indicates that the suspect was the subject of over 240 national search warrants issued by police and gendarmerie services in connection with various criminal cases across several cities and regions.
The detainee has been placed in police custody under the instructions of the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office to continue the judicial investigation and uncover all the circumstances surrounding the alleged offenses.
