Illicit relationship ends in gruesome murder in Sefrou

Details of a horrific crime shaking Sefrou province

The center of Ain Chkef, in the Sefrou province, has witnessed a bloody criminal incident. The Royal Gendarmerie recently referred a waitress in her thirties, hailing from the Taounate province, to the Public Prosecutor at the Fez Court of Appeal. She is suspected of being involved in a homicide committed with a bladed weapon.

Emotional conflict leads to tragedy

According to available data, the victim, a married man and father of two, was spending the night with the suspect before their meeting turned into a heated dispute. Sources suggest the conflict stemmed from the deceased, aged approximately 31 (born 1993), wishing to end their romantic relationship, especially after facing increasing pressure when his wife became aware of the affair.

Surrender and initiation of investigations

Immediately after the incident, which left the victim with deep wounds and fatal bleeding, the suspect turned herself in to the Royal Gendarmerie in the early hours of the day. By order of the competent public prosecution, she has been placed in custody to complete preliminary investigations and precisely determine the circumstances of the incident.

Body inspection and medical autopsy

Royal Gendarmerie officers, upon arriving at the crime scene, inspected the victim’s body, which showed visible signs of violence—specifically in the chest area near the heart, suggesting a deep stab wound. After completing the legal report, the body was transferred to the morgue at the Ghassani Hospital in Fez for a medical autopsy ordered by judicial authorities to determine the exact cause of death and include it in the case file to be reviewed by the Fez Court of Appeal.
