Royal Commission delivers royal grants to the followers of the Siddiqiya, Qadiriya, and Baqaliya Zawiyas

A royal initiative strengthening religious and spiritual bonds in Tangier
In an atmosphere of reverence and serenity, a royal commission oversaw on Friday the delivery of royal grants to the chorfa and followers of three historical zawiyas in the city of Tangier. This noble gesture comes on the occasion of the twenty-eighth anniversary of the passing of the late Hassan II, may God have mercy on his soul, reflecting the constant care that the Commander of the Faithful provides to religious institutions and zawiyas throughout the Kingdom.
Grant delivery ceremonies at the ancient Zawiyas
The ceremonies began at the mausoleum of the saint Sidi Mohammed El Haj Baqali, known as “Sidi Bouarrakia,” where the royal grant was delivered in the presence of the Wali of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, Younes Tazi, along with officials from the Scientific Council and prominent religious, civil, and military figures. The occasion served to highlight the historical and spiritual role these zawiyas play in preserving the Moroccan religious heritage.
Following this, the royal commission visited the Siddiqiya Zawiya and the Qadiriya Zawiya in the old medina of Tangier, where the grants were delivered in a spiritual atmosphere, marked by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and collective prayers.
Prayers for the Commander of the Faithful and the Royal Family
These religious celebrations included prayers for the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, invoking God to protect the Sovereign, the Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, Prince Moulay Rachid, and all members of the illustrious Royal Family.
Those present also raised prayers for the souls of the late Mohammed V and Hassan II, acknowledging their distinguished services to the nation and the Islamic Ummah.
