The 14th edition of the SISTEP IMME 2026 exhibition, the region’s premier event dedicated to production technologies and the mechanical and metallurgical industries, kicked off on Wednesday in Casablanca. This edition serves as a strategic platform for exchanging expertise, highlighted by the high-quality participation of leading Italian companies in the sector.

Significant Italian Participation Led by the Trade Agency

The participation of the Italian delegation, which includes 10 international companies, is part of efforts to strengthen economic cooperation between Morocco and Italy. This presence was coordinated by the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and the Embassy of Italy in Rabat, in technical partnership with the Italian Foundry Equipment Suppliers Association (AMAFOND). This initiative aims to establish sustainable commercial partnerships that contribute to addressing the challenges of modernizing the national industry.

B2B Meetings and Focus on Foundry and Metal Innovations

The Italian pavilion dedicated to the foundry sector offered exceptional opportunities for Moroccan professionals through direct B2B business meetings on September 9th and 10th. The Italian companies are showcasing the latest technical innovations and sustainable solutions designed to keep pace with the digital and technological transformation of the Moroccan industrial sector, while providing a comprehensive overview of global market trends.

Specialized Seminars to Support Sectoral Developments

In addition to technical presentations, the exhibition events included specialized seminars that brought together institutional actors from both Morocco and Italy. These sessions focused on diagnosing the industrial ecosystem and exploring ways to develop local production capacities by utilizing the advanced technology provided by Italian companies, further strengthening the position of the SISTEP IMME exhibition as a key destination for decision-makers and investors in the metallurgical and mechanical sectors.
