The social media world has been shaken following a verdict by the Southwark Crown Court, convicting a 30-year-old Moroccan influencer for his direct involvement in a professional robbery targeting the famous Romanian fashion designer and businessman, Catalin Botezatu, in the heart of London.

Details of the night of terror in “Mayfair”

The incident dates back to January 28, when the victim was enjoying his time in the upscale “Mayfair” district in central London. While outside a luxury restaurant smoking a cigar with a friend, he was suddenly attacked by three people, including the Moroccan influencer identified as “Abdelilah H.”.

According to trial proceedings, the designer was surrounded before a luxury watch from the prestigious “Richard Mille” brand, encrusted with diamonds, was ripped from his wrist. The watch is valued at approximately £137,000, equivalent to nearly 170 million Moroccan centimes.

Use of violence and a sharp weapon

Investigations revealed that the assailants did not just steal the watch; they used a sharp weapon to cut the strap, causing physical injury to the victim. During his emotional testimony before the court, the Romanian designer confirmed that he experienced moments of real terror and genuinely feared for his life during the violent attack.
