The “Poblado de Regulares” neighborhood in the occupied city of Ceuta witnessed a tragic criminal event on Thursday morning, which claimed the life of a young Moroccan man who had arrived in the city during recent waves of irregular migration.

Family dispute ends in tragedy

According to preliminary data revealed by ongoing investigations, the victim, in his twenties, was related to the suspect. Reports indicate that the young man visited his relative’s home on Thursday, September 3, asking for shelter after arriving in the city on July 30.

However, the request was rejected by the woman, leading to a heated argument between the two, which quickly escalated into a struggle. The woman then inflicted a fatal stab wound on the victim using a bladed weapon, leading to his death at the scene.

Security alert and search for the murder weapon

Upon being notified of the incident, elements of the Spanish Civil Guard arrived at the crime scene, where they initiated procedures to arrest the suspect and opened an extensive investigation to determine the true circumstances surrounding this criminal act.

Authorities have imposed a tight security cordon around the crime scene to prevent gatherings, while security forces continue to intensify search operations inside and around the house for the murder weapon (the knife) used to carry out the attack. The victim’s body was transferred to the morgue for the necessary medical autopsy.
