New dynamics within the General Directorate for National Security
As part of its ongoing strategy to develop police operations, the General Directorate for National Security (DGSN) announced on Thursday, August 27, a series of appointments to positions of responsibility across several central and decentralized services. This move comes as part of the security institution’s commitment to injecting new blood and leveraging young, experienced security professionals capable of meeting field challenges and ensuring the safety and security of citizens and their property.
Details of the appointments and new positions
These appointments, approved by the Director General of National Security, Mr. Abdellatif Hammouchi, cover seven positions of responsibility across the cities of Rabat, Tiflet, Skhirat-Témara, Missour, and Safi. Key positions include:
- Appointment of a deputy head of the regional security zone in Skhirat-Témara.
- Appointment of a head of the regional police commission in Missour.
- Head of the first traffic accident department under the regional security administration in Safi.
Improving field performance and uniformed police
In addition to regional appointments, the central services for uniformed police have undergone structural changes aimed at strengthening operational effectiveness. A deputy commander of the 99th Mobile Security Group in Rabat was appointed, along with the commanders of the second and ninth brigades of the same group. The appointments also included assigning new tasks to lead the urban corps under the regional police commission in the city of Tiflet.
Strategic objectives to enhance security governance
These changes are part of a continuous working dynamic adopted by the General Directorate, seeking to increase human resource efficiency by adopting the principle of rotation in positions of responsibility. By entrusting these tasks to highly qualified and trained staff, the institution aims to implement security action plans more efficiently, ensuring the maintenance of public order and the improvement of police services provided to citizens across the Kingdom.
