Solemn religious ceremonies to commemorate the Mawlid
In an atmosphere filled with spirituality and reverence, the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, presides this Monday evening over the commemoration ceremony of the Mawlid an-Nabi ash-Sharif at the Royal Palace in Rabat.
Details of the commemoration
A statement from the Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol and Chancellery announced that this great religious occasion will be commemorated starting from the Maghrib prayer this Monday, the 11th of Rabi al-Awwal 1448 AH, corresponding to August 24, 2026.
This anniversary is a significant religious milestone where Moroccans focus on the values of the Prophetic biography. The Kingdom of Morocco upholds ancient traditions that reflect the people’s attachment to their King and to the foundations of a tolerant Islam, an occasion to which the King pays special attention as an expression of commitment to the Kingdom’s religious identity.
