New poll: Donald Trump’s popularity declines, 55% of US voters object to his economic policies

Widespread public anger over the economic situation in America
The political landscape in the United States has received a new shock following the revelation of the latest polls, which show a noticeable decline in the popularity of President Donald Trump. Data indicates that more than half of registered voters, specifically 55%, disapprove of the President’s overall performance—a clear indicator of rising tension and resentment toward the policies being pursued, especially regarding the cost of living.
Inflation and cost of living at the forefront of concerns
The dissatisfaction is not limited to the overall performance but extends to the details of the economic crisis that American citizens face daily. According to data from the poll, approximately 53% of participants confirmed that their personal financial conditions have seen a noticeable decline over the past period. Even more concerning is that 64% of voters expressed complete dissatisfaction with the way the files of inflation and the rising cost of living are being managed, which poses a major challenge for the current administration.
Cracks in party bases and among independents
The wave of discontent has not stopped at the administration’s traditional opponents but has penetrated even its allies; the poll recorded a decline in support of about 20% among voters within the Republican Party itself. More significantly, the stance of independent voters—often seen as the swing vote in US elections—shows 57% expressing dissatisfaction, reflecting a shift in public sentiment that could cast a heavy shadow over upcoming electoral events.
This poll was conducted online between August 7 and 10, covering a wide sample of 1,913 registered voters, with a margin of error not exceeding 2.9 percentage points. This lends high reliability to these figures, which warn of anticipated political and economic shifts on the American street.
