Fuel prices in Morocco: New increases in diesel and a slight decrease in gasoline starting tonight

Gas stations across the Kingdom are preparing to implement new pricing for petroleum products, effective from midnight this Saturday, August 17, amidst ongoing fluctuations in the energy market.
Expected rise in diesel price
According to exclusive data, the price per liter of diesel, the product most consumed by professionals and Moroccan households, is expected to see a new increase of approximately 65 centimes per liter, adding to the burden of transport and travel costs.
Decrease in gasoline price
In contrast, gasoline prices will see a slight relief, with a decrease estimated at about 30 centimes per liter. While this step is limited, it may relatively alleviate costs for owners of gasoline-powered vehicles.
International market and price control
This semi-monthly adjustment comes in the context of the national market’s close correlation with fluctuations in global oil and petroleum product prices, as well as other economic factors related to local distribution costs and taxes.
These new prices will officially take effect in the early hours of August 17 and will be reflected directly on the display boards at service stations across various Moroccan cities and regions, forcing drivers to adjust their budgets to these new changes.
