Breaking: Moroccan Cinema Center allocates over 26 million dirhams to support 40 film festivals and events in the Kingdom

In a move reflecting the continuous dynamism of the national film sector, the Moroccan Cinema Center (CCM) has revealed the allocation of a total budget exceeding 26 million dirhams to support the organization of film festivals and events across various regions of the Kingdom.
The Center confirmed in a statement that this exceptional financial support covers 40 film festivals and events, following a series of marathon meetings held by the festival support committee to review candidate projects and ensure they meet the established legal and technical requirements.
Budget details and selection criteria
The same source stated that the distribution of these grants was based on strict criteria, including the quality of programming, the cultural and local impact of the festivals, and their ability to develop cinematic practice, foster a culture of image among the youth, and stimulate the economic and cultural cycle in host cities.
This edition placed significant emphasis on major national and international festivals that secure a strong Moroccan presence on the global stage, while also paying special attention to emerging regional festivals that contribute to the territorial equity of cultural activities.
A strategic vision for advancing Moroccan cinema
This initiative is part of the general strategy of the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication and the Moroccan Cinema Center, aimed at encouraging the arts and providing professional platforms for filmmakers and young creators to promote their work and exchange experiences with international professionals.
