Swift security response to the assault on a foreign national in Casablanca

As part of its constant vigilance and immediate response to digital content that compromises public order and individual safety, the Casablanca Police Prefecture launched precise investigations following a video that circulated widely on social media on Tuesday, September 1st. The footage documents an assault on a foreign national by a group of minors in the center of Casablanca.

Police investigation reveals circumstances of the case in “Anfa”

Upon spotting the video, the judicial police of the Anfa district opened an in-depth investigation, which led to the rapid identification of the suspects. Field investigations resulted in the arrest of six of the minors involved in these criminal acts, which sparked widespread indignation among social media users.

Seizure of dangerous dogs and referral to veterinary services

Investigations revealed that the detainees used dogs as a means of intimidation and assault; security forces seized five dogs of dangerous breeds from the minors. It was decided to transfer these animals to the competent veterinary services to be handled in accordance with established legal procedures, ensuring the protection of citizens from any potential risks.

Minors under judicial investigation supervised by the Public Prosecutor

The suspects are currently undergoing a judicial investigation conducted by the juvenile brigade of the Anfa Judicial Police, under the direct supervision of the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office. This investigation aims to uncover all circumstances surrounding the case, determine the motives behind these attacks, and identify any other criminal activities the suspects may have been involved in.
