Princess Lalla Meryem receives children from Al-Quds in Rabat in an atmosphere of brotherhood

In a humanitarian gesture reflecting the depth of historical ties between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Holy City, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meryem received, this Sunday at the Guest Palace in Rabat, children from Al-Quds participating in the 17th edition of the summer camp organized by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency, under the high command of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him.
An initiative embodying steadfast Moroccan solidarity with Al-Quds
This noble initiative is part of the constant care provided by His Majesty the King, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to the Holy City and its inhabitants. This summer camp, titled “Beacon of Peace”, is a concrete translation of the efforts of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency to support vulnerable groups, particularly children and women, through projects with tangible impact aimed at strengthening the resilience of the people of Al-Quds.
“Beacon of Peace”: A bridge for cultural and educational exchange
This edition, running from August 12 to 26, benefits 50 children from Al-Quds aged between 11 and 14, accompanied by 5 supervisors. The rich program of this session included various activities, such as educational excursions, cultural and sports competitions, as well as a summer school in the city of Skhirat, providing these children the opportunity to interact directly with their Moroccan peers and witness the magnitude of sincere Moroccan solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
Reception and fraternal bonds
During the reception, the children from Al-Quds presented commemorative gifts to HRH Princess Lalla Meryem, expressing their thanks and gratitude for this special royal attention. Mr. Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui, Director in charge of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency, presented to Her Highness a documentary summary of the main milestones of the summer camp since its inception in 2008, highlighting a successful journey that has benefited 850 children from Al-Quds to date.
These emotional moments concluded with an official commemorative photo of HRH Princess Lalla Meryem with the children and supervisors, followed by a reception hosted by His Majesty the King in honor of Morocco’s young guests, reaffirming the special place that Al-Quds holds in the heart of Morocco, both King and people.
