Morocco’s Cyber Defense: Garda System Boosts Armed Forces Readiness

Technological Leap in Morocco’s Defense System

In a move reflecting the rapid development of the Kingdom’s digital capabilities, the American company Lyntris, specialized in defense and command solutions, has revealed that the Royal Armed Forces are operating the advanced Garda Cyber Command Suite platform. This system is not merely a transient deal, but a fundamental pillar within the arsenal Morocco is adopting to secure its sensitive networks and information systems against sophisticated cyber threats.

Superior Technical Capabilities for Protection and Analysis

The adopted platform distinguishes itself as an integrated operational system, currently operating within a monitoring network covering over 100 sites worldwide. This technology provides Morocco with advanced capabilities including immediate threat detection, rapid incident response, and digital forensic analysis. The platform also integrates artificial intelligence technologies for risk analysis, in addition to comprehensive functions such as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and intrusion detection and prevention systems, while ensuring operational continuity even in conditions of communication outages.

Integration Between Command, Control, and Cyber Defense

Alongside the cyber platform, the Royal Armed Forces operate the Garda C2 platform, dedicated to command and control. This architecture connects 65 sensor sites and three regional operations centers, as well as mobile command centers and warships. This structure allows for the integration of data from various sensors into a unified operational picture, facilitating real-time strategic decision-making. Personnel from the Royal Armed Forces have already received intensive training in San Diego, USA, on the management of these complex systems.

Strategic Partnership in the Digital Domain

The inclusion of these systems in the Moroccan arsenal reflects the growing military cooperation between Morocco and the United States, with an increased focus on digitization and artificial intelligence. While financial details or the exact contract date have not been disclosed, the data confirms that these systems have become an integral part of Morocco’s defense infrastructure, placing the Kingdom among the nations that prioritize cybersecurity and the protection of information sovereignty in the era of digital warfare.
