Lekjaa calls for narrowing regional disparities to achieve comprehensive developmental justice

An explicit call to overcome developmental inequalities

In a move reflecting the Authenticity and Modernity Party’s (PAM) commitment to listening to the public, Fouzi Lekjaa, a member of the party’s political bureau, stressed during a meeting in Taounate that the persistent disparity in development indicators between the Kingdom’s regions poses a real challenge that must be addressed rigorously. Lekjaa, accompanied by party leaders Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri and Mehdi Bensaid, described the current situation as one of «varying speeds» in the development process, necessitating immediate and practical action.

«A single-speed Morocco»: The next gamble

Lekjaa explained that building an «emerging Morocco» can only be achieved if public policies cover all territorial areas with comparable levels of equipment and services. He emphasized that the primary goal for the coming period is to overcome regional disparities, in line with royal directives that prioritize spatial justice.

Keys to development: Education, health, and infrastructure

The PAM leader outlined a clear roadmap, identifying investment in the road network, the quality of the educational system, and the improvement of healthcare services as decisive keys to ensuring equal opportunities. Lekjaa pointed out that the success of any future project depends on its ability to move from theoretical commitments to tangible results that citizens can feel in their daily lives.

Political responsibility and future elections

In a related context, Lekjaa called for strengthening political participation, noting that upcoming elections are a pivotal moment to elect competent individuals capable of addressing regional imbalances and implementing ambitious programs. He concluded by affirming that reaching a «single-speed Morocco» is not just a slogan, but a development path requiring collective responsibility to ensure sustainable development for all Moroccans.
