Rainfall update in Morocco: Azilal and Midelt lead the list in the last 24 hours

Significant rainfall boost in several provinces of the Kingdom

Numerous regions of Morocco have experienced scattered rainfall over the past 24 hours, restoring hope to farmers and contributing to improved groundwater reserves after a period of drought. The General Directorate of Meteorology has released the data for these precipitations, which covered both mountainous and desert regions alike.

Azilal and Midelt in the lead

The Azilal province topped the list of regions receiving the most rainfall, with 24 mm recorded in Tabant, followed by the Tounfite area in the Midelt province, where measurements reached 21 mm. This rainfall reflects the ongoing atmospheric activity across the Moroccan highlands.

Rainfall distribution in other regions

Official data showed variations in the amounts of rain recorded across different provinces:

– Boulemane Province: 20 mm recorded in the city of Boulemane.
– Ouarzazate Province: 12 mm recorded in the Amzeri area (Imi-N-Oulaoun commune).
– Assa-Zag Province: 10 mm recorded in the Mahbes area.
– Tinghir Province: 3 mm.
– Various regions: Toubkal, Oujda, and Kalaat M’Gouna each recorded approximately 1 mm.

This rainfall comes as part of the seasonal weather fluctuations Morocco is experiencing, with hopes that it will contribute to strengthening dam water levels and vegetation in rural areas that rely primarily on agricultural activity.
