Moroccan diplomat Majda Moutchou refutes Algerian claims at UN meeting

Moroccan diplomatic epic at the Fourth Committee
Majda Moutchou, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the United Nations, delivered a rigorous defense over several hours during the proceedings of the Fourth Committee, countering with legal and historical arguments attempts to undermine the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of the Kingdom of Morocco.
According to reports, the Moroccan diplomat stood as a bulwark against attempts to mislead the international community, relying on clear legal data and historical evidence to refute the promoted theses.
Response to the Gdim Izik file and the fight against disinformation
The Moroccan representative refuted the thesis related to the file of those convicted in the “Gdim Izik” events, confirming that the legal proceedings were not due to political opinions, but were the result of serious acts of violence targeting public forces that resulted in the death of police officers.
The diplomat questioned the fate of the families of the security victims who died in the line of duty—questions that received no objective reaction from the opposing side.
Confirmation of Algeria’s key role in the conflict
Diplomat Majda Moutchou emphasized that the discussion concretely proves that Algeria is a primary and direct party to the artificial conflict over the Moroccan Sahara, calling for commitment to diplomatic etiquette and respect for UN institutions and rules of procedure.
The Moroccan diplomat managed to neutralize interference attempts, reaffirming that the Sahara is Moroccan and will remain an integral part of the Kingdom’s national territory within the framework of its firm constants.
