Herbalist arrested in Casablanca for luring and molesting minors

Herbalist sent to Oukacha prison by order of the Casablanca Public Prosecution
The Public Prosecution at the Casablanca Court of Appeal has recently ordered the detention of a man working as a herbalist at the Oukacha local prison, following judicial investigations into his alleged involvement in acts targeting several minors, including a six-year-old girl.
This case emerged following a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the acts attributed to the suspect, who carried out his work within a herbalist shop located in the Ain Sebaa district of Casablanca.
Details of the acts and the luring of minors
According to available data, the individual is suspected of luring minor children by exploiting their young age and innocence, before subjecting them to sexual acts. These serious incidents are currently subject to an intensive judicial investigation to determine all the circumstances surrounding them.
Following the completion of preliminary investigations and the questioning of the parties involved, the Public Prosecution decided to hold the suspect in custody and refer him to the Oukacha local prison, pending the completion of the remaining legal and judicial procedures.
Trial date set
In this context, reports indicate that the competent court will review this case during an official hearing scheduled for October 19, 2026.
It is expected that the judicial proceedings and trial regarding the acts attributed to the suspect will continue during that hearing, in accordance with the legal procedures in force in cases related to the protection of minors.
