Hammouchi approves new security appointments in several Moroccan cities to inject new momentum

A New Dynamic in the National Security Corps
The General Directorate for National Security (DGSN) announced, this Tuesday, October 6, a series of new appointments to positions of responsibility within the decentralized services of the national security. These transfers and appointments affect several Moroccan cities, including Oujda, Kenitra, Fes, Imouzzer Kandar, Tetouan, Tangier, Ait Melloul, Inzegane, Ouarzazate, Jorf El Melha, and Mechraa Bel Ksiri.
According to the released data, this move is part of a continuous internal dynamic that seeks to inject new blood into the security administration and to utilize young, experienced security talents capable of contributing effectively to the citizen’s security and the protection of their property.
Details of the New Positions and Responsibilities
The Director General of National Security, Abdellatif Hammouchi, has authorized these appointments, which cover 12 new positions of responsibility. Among these posts, four heads of security districts and police stations have been appointed in Ait Melloul, Inzegane, Mechraa Bel Ksiri, and Jorf El Melha, in addition to the heads of provincial social police services in Ouarzazate and Tetouan.
The appointments also include placing security officials at the head of other decentralized services, specifically the head of the special police station at Saniat R’mel Airport in Tetouan, the head of the land border crossing in Oujda, and the head of the K-9 police unit at the Port of Tangier. Additionally, three uniformed police officers have been appointed to positions of responsibility in Fes, Imouzzer Kandar, and Kenitra.
Strategic Goals to Enhance Human Resource Efficiency
These new appointments are part of an ongoing effort aimed at increasing the efficiency and productivity of police human resources. Through these measures, the Directorate seeks to enable rotation in positions of responsibility and to entrust the field management of police services to highly trained and qualified personnel.
These measures confirm the security administration’s commitment to optimally implementing action plans aimed at strengthening citizen security and ensuring the protection of their property across the Kingdom, by involving new leadership talents capable of keeping pace with current security challenges.
