Arrest of a forty-year-old thief who terrorized Daoudiat students

In a precise security operation, elements of the seventh police district in Marrakech successfully ended the dangerous criminal activities of a man in his forties on the night of Friday, October 2nd. He is implicated in a series of robberies that primarily targeted university students in the area.

Violent criminal modus operandi

According to available information, the suspect has a criminal record. He targeted his victims through robberies involving physical assault, violence, and threats with bladed weapons, in addition to snatch-theft crimes that sparked widespread concern among residents and users of the vital Daoudiat district.

Identification by victims and transfer to the judicial police

The arrest led to significant developments, as approximately 10 victims, mostly university students, arrived at the police station and were able to identify the suspect immediately. Consequently, the individual was referred to the judicial police of the Marrakech security prefecture for further investigation, where he has been placed in custody pending the completion of the inquiry and his presentation before the competent public prosecutor.
