As part of the consultations regarding the formation of the new government, the designated head of government, Fatima Zahra Mansouri, received a delegation from the Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS), led by Secretary-General Nabil Benabdallah, on Wednesday evening, September 30, 2026, in Rabat.
Meeting details at the Authenticity and Modernity Party headquarters
According to available information, the meeting was held at the headquarters of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) in Rabat. The PPS delegation included six members of the party leadership, including two women, to discuss the prospects of the upcoming political phase.
Political consultations by the designated head of government
This meeting is part of the ongoing series of consultations that Mansouri is holding with various political parties represented in the political landscape. She had previously conducted rounds of dialogue with the National Rally of Independents (RNI), the Istiqlal Party, the Popular Movement, and the Socialist Union of Popular Forces (USFP).
Party positions and priorities for the upcoming stage
Sources stated that the discussions focused on the political parties’ positions regarding the next government phase, the determination of the future government majority, and the nature and conditions of political participation for each party.
It is expected that the PPS delegation presented its comprehensive vision regarding social, economic, and political priorities to the designated head of government, in addition to announcing its final position on whether or not to participate in the new government.
