Final results of Morocco’s legislative elections confirm previously announced provisional estimates

The Ministry of Interior announced on Friday that the final results of the legislative elections held on September 23, 2026, match exactly with the general provisional results announced earlier.
The Ministry explained, through a statement issued by the Minister of Interior, that the provincial and regional census commissions, chaired by judges, have successfully completed the vote counting and the declaration of results across the various prefectures, provinces, and regions of the Kingdom, while proceeding to file the minutes of these operations and depositing a copy with the Constitutional Court, in accordance with the prevailing legislative provisions.
Distribution of parliamentary seats according to final results
The electoral process resulted in the distribution of parliamentary seats in local and regional constituencies among the participating political parties as follows:
- Authenticity and Modernity Party: 97 seats.
- National Rally of Independents: 66 seats.
- Istiqlal Party: 65 seats.
- Justice and Development Party: 54 seats.
- Popular Movement: 29 seats.
- Socialist Union of Popular Forces: 26 seats.
- Progress and Socialism Party: 19 seats.
- Constitutional Union: 17 seats.
- Democratic and Social Movement: 8 seats.
- Left Alliance: 8 seats.
- Front of Democratic Forces: 2 seats.
- Equity Party: 2 seats.
- New Democrats Party: 1 seat.
- Unity and Democracy Party: 1 seat.
Right of appeal and access to electoral minutes
In the context of transparency, the Ministry of Interior recalled that Article 86 of the Organic Law related to the House of Representatives allows any concerned candidate to consult the minutes of polling stations, central offices, and census commissions during eight full working days from the date of their filing.
The law grants the same right to any candidate whose election has been contested, allowing them to view the minutes of the electoral operations and obtain a copy thereof, within a period of eight days from the date of receiving the contestation petition, according to the conditions and authorities precisely defined in the organic law governing these procedures.
