Errachidia leads the list of areas with the highest rainfall in Morocco over the last 24 hours

Significant rainfall boosts reserves in southern and eastern regions

The General Directorate of Meteorology has revealed in its latest bulletin details of the rainfall measurements recorded across several provinces of the Kingdom of Morocco during the last 24 hours. These rains showed clear geographical disparities, with the Rissani region, part of the Errachidia province, topping the list of areas benefiting most from the rainfall.

Rissani at the top of the ranking

According to official data, the city of Rissani recorded approximately 37 mm of rain, the highest rate during this period. These rains come at a time when the local population and the agricultural sector are eagerly awaiting the impact of this rainfall on groundwater levels and vegetation in these semi-arid areas.

Distribution of rainfall by province

Field data released by the Directorate shows the following distribution:

Ouarzazate Province: The areas of Khouzama and Ghassate recorded 8 mm, while it reached 4 mm in Taghdout.
Aousserd Province: The region recorded 8 mm of rainfall.
Tinghir Province: The city of Tinghir recorded 7 mm, while the areas of Iknioun, Msemrir, and Ait Hani recorded 2 mm, and Assoul reached 1 mm.
Errachidia Province (other areas): Moulay Ali Cherif and Erfoud recorded 4 mm, while it was 1 mm in Amlagou.
Midelt and Figuig Provinces: The areas of Jbel Ayachi and Figuig recorded 2 mm of rainfall.
