Al Hoceima: Field tours by the Regional Education Director to oversee the school year

Field monitoring to ensure a stable school year in Al Hoceima

In an effort to strengthen local governance and ensure a stable educational process, the Provincial Director of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports in Al Hoceima conducted a series of inspection visits to several educational institutions in the province on Thursday, September 10, 2026. This field tour is part of the continuous monitoring of the start of the 2026-2027 school year, and was attended by the provincial coordinator of the ‘Pioneer Schools’ project.

Comprehensive coverage of educational institutions

The visits included a mix of educational institutions, both those participating in the ‘Pioneer Schools’ project and others, to assess the actual implementation of educational programs. The tour covered several middle schools, including: Sidi Abed, Mohamed Ettarhouchi, Ennasr, Hay Rabea, and Al Qods, in addition to the Abi Talib and Oum Al Banine schools.

Objectives of the visit: Accurate tracking of reform projects

The goals of this visit focused on two main areas: evaluating the conditions for students entering classrooms and reviewing the progress of pedagogical and organizational operations. The occasion provided a crucial opportunity to examine several vital points:

  • Tracking the process of conducting placement tests and digital data entry of results.
  • Reviewing the progress of rehabilitation and equipment work in institutions involved in the pioneer project.
  • Monitoring student attendance and discipline within classrooms.
  • Verifying the distribution of intensive support booklets to ensure an effective educational start.

Listening to educational actors and strengthening mobilization

During his direct communication with administrative and educational staff, the Provincial Director emphasized the importance of collective mobilization, calling on all stakeholders to strengthen their commitment to the success of the Pioneer Schools project. He also listened to the challenges facing the institutions, stressing that the provincial directorate places field monitoring as a top priority to ensure a successful start to the school year that contributes to the success of major educational reform projects on the ground.
